Ingredients

1/4 cup all-purpose flour1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon pepper1 beef top round steak (1-1/2 pounds), cut into 6 pieces2 large carrots, sliced1 celery rib, sliced1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce2 garlic cloves, minced1 bay leaf1 teaspoon Italian seasoning1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce3 cups hot cooked brown rice

Preparation

In a large bowl or dish, combine the flour, salt and pepper. Add beef, a few pieces at a time, and toss to coat. Transfer to a 4-qt. slow cooker.

In a small bowl, combine the carrots, celery, tomato sauce, garlic, bay leaf, Italian seasoning and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over beef. Cover and cook on low for 7-9 hours or until beef is tender. Discard bay leaf. Serve with rice.
