Ingredients
1 cup sugar1 cup mashed cooked winter squash1 cup heavy whipping cream3 large eggs, lightly beaten1 teaspoon ground ginger1 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/2 teaspoon ground nutmegDash salt1 unbaked pastry shell Whipped cream or topping or garnish
Preparation
In a bowl, combine the first 8 ingredients.
Pour into the pastry shell; bake at 375° for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°; bake for 45 minutes or until set. Cool on a wire rack. Chill. Garnish with whipped cream.
