Ingredients

1 tablespoon canola oil1 medium onion, chopped2 cans (28 ounces each) baked beans3 cans (15 ounces each) chili beans, undrained2 cans (15 ounces each) black beans, rinsed and drained2 packages (7 ounces each) frozen fully cooked breakfast sausage links, thawed and cut into 1/2-inch pieces1 cup beer or reduced-sodium chicken broth2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced1 to 2 tablespoons hot pepper sauce

Preparation

In a Dutch oven, heat oil over medium-high heat; saute onion until tender, 3-5 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until beans are thickened and flavors are blended, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
