Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour1-1/2 cups sugar1 tablespoon baking powder2 teaspoons ground cinnamon1 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon ground ginger1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg1/4 teaspoon ground cloves4 large eggs, room temperature1 can (15 ounces) pumpkin1 cup unsweetened applesauceConfectioners’ sugar, optional

Preparation

In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients. In a small bowl, combine the eggs, pumpkin and applesauce. Stir into the dry ingredients.

Spread into a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned (do not overbake). Cool on a wire rack before cutting. Dust with confectioners’ sugar if desired.
