Ingredients
6 pork shoulder or sirloin steaks (1/2 inch thick)3/4 teaspoon salt, divided1/8 teaspoon pepper1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms1/2 cup sliced pimiento-stuffed olives1/4 cup chopped green pepper1/4 cup finely chopped onion1 garlic clove, minced1 tablespoon all-purpose flour1 tablespoon sugar2 cups tomato juice
Preparation
In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown steaks. Place in an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper. Top with mushrooms, olives, green pepper, onion and garlic.
Combine the flour, sugar and remaining salt; gradually stir in tomato juice until smooth. Pour over vegetables Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 1 hour or until meat is tender.
