Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef (90% lean)1 garlic clove, minced1 small head cabbage, chopped2-1/2 cups water2/3 cup uncooked long grain rice1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce1 teaspoon onion powder1 teaspoon dried basil1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper1/4 teaspoon pepper1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes1/2 teaspoon saltGrated Parmesan cheese, optional
Preparation
In a nonstick Dutch oven, cook beef and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in next 8 ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, until rice is tender, 25-30 minutes. Stir in tomatoes and salt; heat through. If desired, sprinkle with cheese.
