Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour1/2 cup whole wheat flour2 packets instant maple and brown sugar or apple cinnamon oatmeal1 tablespoon baking powder1 teaspoon ground cinnamon1/4 teaspoon salt1-1/2 cups 2% milk2 eggs1/3 cup butter, melted1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnutsMaple syrup

Preparation

In a large bowl, mix the first six ingredients. In another bowl, whisk the milk, eggs and butter. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in pecans.

Bake in a preheated waffle iron according to manufacturer’s directions until golden brown. Serve with syrup.
