Ingredients
2 cups chopped onions2 tablespoons butter2 cups cubed cooked chicken1 pound smoked sausage, cut into bite-size pieces3 cups sliced celery3 cups sliced summer squash2 cups chicken broth1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce1/4 cup minced fresh parsley2 tablespoons cornstarch2 tablespoons poultry seasoning1 teaspoon dried oregano1 teaspoon ground cumin1 teaspoon liquid smoke, optional1/2 teaspoon pepper
Preparation
In a small skillet, saute onions in butter until tender. Transfer to a 4- or 5-qt. slow cooker. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Cook on high for 5-6 hours or until vegetables are tender.
