Ingredients

3 pounds chicken wings1 cup packed brown sugar1 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce4 green onions, chopped1/2 cup ketchup1/4 cup cider vinegar1/4 cup chicken broth3 tablespoons honey3 garlic cloves, minced2 teaspoons minced fresh gingerroot2 teaspoons sesame oilSesame seeds and additional chopped green onions

Preparation

Using a sharp knife, cut through the two wing joints; discard wing tips. Place chicken wings in a 5-qt. slow cooker. In a large bowl, mix brown sugar, soy sauce, green onions, ketchup, vinegar, broth, honey, garlic, ginger and oil. Pour over chicken wings; toss to coat. Cover and cook on low until chicken juices run clear, 3-4 hours.

Preheat broiler. Transfer chicken wings to a foil-lined 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Broil 3-4 in. from heat 2-3 minutes on each side or until lightly charred. Meanwhile, transfer cooking liquid to a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until sauce is reduced by half, 12-15 minutes. Sprinkle wings with sesame seeds and additional green onions; serve with sauce.
