Ingredients

1-1/4 cups butter, cubed1-1/2 teaspoons rubbed sage1 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon pepper14 to 15 cups day-old cubed bread3 cups chopped celery1-1/2 cups chopped onion

Preparation

In a microwave, melt butter with seasonings. Place bread, celery and onion in a large bowl; toss with butter mixture. Transfer to a 5-qt. slow cooker.

Cook, covered, on low until heated through, 4-5 hours, stirring once.
