Ingredients

1 pound ground beef3 cups water2 cans (11-1/2 ounces each) tomato juice (about 2-3/4 cups)1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste2 tablespoons dried minced onion1 to 2 tablespoons chili powder1-1/2 teaspoons dried oregano1 teaspoon sugar1 teaspoon salt1 teaspoon garlic salt1 package (7 ounces) spaghettiGrated Parmesan cheese, optional

Preparation

In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add the water, tomato juice, tomato paste and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Add uncooked spaghetti.

Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until the spaghetti is tender, stirring frequently. Sprinkle with cheese if desired.
